Thanks for your prayers for VBS and Big Blue (our van for the week)! VBS had an additional 4 kids come today (Lord willing they will come this Sunday as well), and the van was working just in time! Please continue in prayer for the VBS this coming Sunday, and our safe travels this Friday and Saturday as we head to Prince Edward Island for a couple of days.
It is Thursday, and the last day to work on door-2-door efforts. During the morning hours, our teams were able to complete the remainder of the city of Moncton, leaving Lakeville, a very large trailer park and suburb of Moncton for the afternoon.
After meeting up with VBS teams and some families from the church, this last section of well over 1,000 trailers was completed in 30 minutes flat. With Lakeville complete, our teams have visited over 30,000 homes personally these last two weeks. Praise the Lord for his work in seeing this to completion!
This evening, Pastor had a little surprise cooked up for one of our teammates who had given up his anniversary to come on this trip. He left with one of the teams to pick up a van that the Lord supplied for us to use for the remainder of the trip, as well as this teammates wife at the airport.
With door-2-door work completed, VBS becomes the focus of our prayers, as well as big blue (the other van) to be fixed again prior to tomorrow afternoon.
The north west corner… Today is the day we started and hoped to have finished the north west corner of Moncton. We were greeted once again with broiling temperatures, but are indeed thankful that we have only the heat of the sun to worry about and not of hell.
Out all morning working on the sprawl of rural roads, we were very thankful for the location of most mailboxes being on one only side of the street, allowing us to complete one of the two sections in the morning. After a brief but necessary air conditioning break the door-2-door teams were grew in size as the VBS people joined us. Breaking around 4:30pm for church, this part of the city was nearly conquered, leaving the remainder for tomorrow.
VBS had a great day of ministry today and with services in the evening, this was definitely a time to rest in the Lord. Pastor Jeff Allen preached this evening, refocusing the team and the church to be sure we are making a difference (1 Cor 14:1-7 and 1 Kings 15:3). This day was complete, and sleep was sweet!
Please pray for our VBS teams as well as for the strength and ability to complete all remaining door-2-door work tomorrow.
With VBS not starting until tomorrow, today it is our mission to complete Door-2-Door efforts in Riverview with the entire team and several from Charity helping to bring this to pass! The Lord gave us strength to keep going through the 100 degree heat and allowed us to see this large area completed.
We ask prayer for a couple of injuries from today, with a bad knee and a fall have left a couple of our team members hurting a bit. We do want to send a little of encouragement for you though… We have been highlighting a map of Moncton as we cover the area with flyers… below you will see our progress.
It’s Saturday, and there are over 40 people here!!! Everyone today splits into 5 different areas… One of us teaching financial peace, some tracking, some at sports, some working on the new property, and some working on the house.
This evening was a church picnic, and such a blessing to meet some more of the people who are involved in this ministry. Truly the bond that we all have in Christ brings us together. We do ask for prayer for the new people who have joined up in this team for the coming week.
Answer to prayer this morning as five new souls will be going to heaven! The VBS team has been working very hard with the kids and even the families through visitation, and it is a blessing to see God give the increase here.
After the rain yesterday, it is another beautiful day in Moncton… Blue skies, sun, and the humidity is out again! With the help of several people in Charity, the Door-2-Door arm of this trip was able to complete the north east portion of Moncton today, covering two large areas of land.
With the city of Moncton close to 75% complete we will likely start working in Riverview soon! It has been such a blessing to see the people of the church rally together, all working to accomplish the same goal.
Sports met this evening as well, and had a few new people to minister to. They have been able to have a great influence on those who the Lord has brought to their door, making the events so far a great success.
Today, the Lord wanted to make sure we had time to refocus since we have been going full bore these last few days… it rained all morning. Though the rain did not hinder VBS from their ministry, the Door-2-Door and Spots teams had time to do some laundry (Good thing to, with the heat we have had the last several days). Our teams had time to do some much needed cleaning on the vehicles and many had opportunity to pray together in the morning.
In the afternoon the skies cleared and we were able once again to hit the streets. VBS headed out for some visitation and the Sports team headed out to canvas the area surronding where they were working and encourage the area kids to come out. Please keep this in prayer, as it starts tomorrow at 6pm!
Time for catching up on some sleep, so for now, I will sign off. God Bless!
PRAISE THE LORD!!! It was another beautiful day in Moncton, New Brunswick!!! We started the day off strong sliding into a somewhat normal schedule for the week…
Another 4000+ day was had by all of the teams working on Door-2-Door efforts throughout the week (Shared by Charity, Sports, VBS and Door-2-Door specific people). This day was phenomenal, many having the opportunity to speak with others about their faith. Including one person involved in Wicca, and another who made sure of their salvation! What a day to be in the fields… truly they are ripe for harvest!
We thank you for your prayer regarding VBS and ask that you keep tomorrow in prayer as people go out for their first set of visitation for the kids that have been attending. The Lord has added an additional five children to the 19 that we had the day before, and things seem to be going well!
Sports started off the day today, and though the number of people were not what was expected, the people that came were not nearly as interested in playing sports as they were in spiritual things. The evening ended with the sports team ministering to the people that attended on a personal level and much was accomplished for the Lords kingdom. We do covet your prayer for this arm of ministry this week, we believe more people should be taking part and will be hitting the streets tomorrow to try and promote this a little more!
It’s Tuesday and our first day out in the fields!!! Both the Door-2-Door teams and VBS started bright and early this morning! Here, it was 32 degrees (About 90 something) and very humid but the Lord gave our teams the strength and stamina to stay out in the heat of the day for Door-2-Door work.
Though it is hot here, we have come to the realization that we are still truly blessed, as the temperatures on earth are considerably cooler than where many of the people we are interacting with will be headed should they never accept Christ.
We started with the door hangers early on in the morning, and working with the Lord’s strength through the day were able to push through a record 4250 flyer’s with about 16-18 people in only six hours. Hanging these flyer’s was not all that was accomplished either… Many people had the opportunity to give their testimony and witness to the people in the areas we touched.
VBS also started off with 19 people and was very encouraged with the events of the day. We do ask for prayer for the sports team as they start tomorrow and for VBS throughout the week, both during the day and for the visitation times that happen afterwards.
It’s the Lord’s Day!!! It has been such a blessing to work with the Seely’s these past few days. Today is a busy day with Church with Charity in the morning, and on PEI in the evening with a missionary family.
I wish I could put to words the events of this day, but they are filled with sweet fellowship that I will remember as long as am in this world. The body of Christ is truly an amazing thing to both watch and experience.
